The Girl in the Mirror is the Dream It. Believe It. Live It. (DBL) Education Foundation's annual Young Women's Leadership and Empowerment Initiative, held during Women's Month to inspire, equip and empower young women as they navigate one of the most formative stages of their lives.
Designed for high school learners, the initiative creates a safe and engaging space where young women are encouraged to reflect on who they are, celebrate the strengths they already possess and develop the confidence to pursue their aspirations with purpose.

Scores of young footballers from across Johannesburg’s southern suburbs converged on the Sporting FC grounds in Turffontein on July 11 for the second annual DBL Community U12 Soccer Tournament.

Scores of young footballers from across Johannesburg’s southern suburbs converged on the Sporting FC grounds in Turffontein on July 11 for the second annual DBL Community U12 Soccer Tournament.
Teams including Linhill Celtic FC, DBL FC, Joshco Turffontein FC and Rietvlei Soccer School showcased their talent in a day of competitive, entertaining football, while reinforcing the tournament’s message of education, leadership and community development.
Founder and chairperson of the tournament, Dr Keshia Mohamed-Padayachee, said the event had grown into much more than a football competition.

These Reading Centres form part of our goals to promoting literacy and a love for reading among learners in our communities. The launch features a collection of books suitable for students of all ages, as well as comfortable reading nooks and spaces to encourage reading and learning.
Another significant step in our efforts to enhance literacy skills and academic achievement.
